I'm getting Executing Application Upgrades: 05.00.00 Error! during upgrade and the sqldataprovider logs are empty: below are is the upgrade status report and two event log errors. Any ideas on what to do to fix this? Is it possible to upgrade from 4.9.2 to 5.1.4 directly or is there a different upgrade path to take?

I too am getting the error Executing Application Upgrades: 05.00.00 Error!  I'm going from 4.9.4, but I also get:

Executing Script: 05.00.00.SqlDataProvider Error! (see 05.00.00.log for more information)
Executing Script: 05.00.01.SqlDataProvider Success
Executing Script: 05.01.00.SqlDataProvider Error! (see 05.01.00.log for more information)

It looks like the errors are from the 5.0 and 5.1.0 versions and my site is up, but is this something I need to worry about?  I'd hate to think all is well and then run into a problem down the road.

I changed my web.config based on a recommendation from my developers. I have not tried changing the trust to full only medium.

If I comment it out, I get the Security Exception error. With it uncommented I get the DNN error message. I created a separate application pool for this site and have checked the identiy tab to make sure the is set to Network Service. I think it is a permissions issue. I am unsure as to why DNN thinks Network Service has no authority to access the root directory.

I did a bit of "googling" myself last night but am reluctant to start "messing around" with things I do not know a lot about.

I do have other (Sharepoint) websites running on this server on port 80, but I stopped those services while I was installing DNN.

I also will try moving the d:dotnetnuke directory to C:/Inetpub and restarting IIS.
