My hosting provider is running IIS7 with .NET 2.0 and MS SQL 2005. I have been running DNN 4.9.2 on other sites, but thought I'd better run this new site on DNN 5. However, the DNN site says that the latest release, DNN 5.2.x now requires .NET 3.5 SP1 to run. So what is my best choice for installing a new site with this hosting provider? I'm thinking DNN 5.1.4. Is that right?

Thanks for any experienced perspective.

.NET 3.5 is .NET 2. Just with enhancements.

The version number of .NET 3.5 is 2.0.50727.3603
I pulled this off of an active 5.2.2 DNN install where the "Host Settings" says 3.5 is installed.

You should be able to check the version number of .net in the host settings [or dashboard if you version has it - don't remember when it got in] and if it's the one I have above, you are good to go with 5.2.2.

Great! Now that you mention it, I do remember that strange nomenclature. I checked and it's got ASP.NET 2.0.50727.4200 so I'm good to go.

Thanks for the clarification.
