Hi there,

I am a newby to DNN.

I Found an URL that explains how to install DNN but it doesn't seem to work. The system you see on the "URL" is kind of the same as my ISP.

URL : http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/d...

In my site I have created a folder called "dnn" and have created an VD called "Main" that looks at the local folder wwwroot/dnn.
But when I type in my domain-name/Main I get "Server Error in '/Main' Application"

Could someone please help me out what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance !!!

you should try to install DNN in web site root, if this is not possible at your hoster (due to plesk), create a virtual directory just inside. use Install package and unzip/upload all files just inside (hierarchically).

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for the reply.......but after I have copied the install files to my directory, how do I get it to run the install?
Just go to my VD url ?? example : www.domain.com/test

Greetz,
Mark

Yes, you should access the virtual directory URL now. You can also go to www.domain.com/test/install/install.aspx but going to www.domain.com/test should fire off the install
