I just installed DotNetNuke on my home computer (Vista with IIS7).  When I call up localhost in IE on the machine I installed on it works.  However I cannot open up the page from any other computer on my network.  Prior to installing DNN, I had IIS running and I was able to get to the default IIS page up on other computers on the network, or if I switch back to IIS default page, it still works, so I don't think it is a firewall issue.  Any ideas of how I can troubleshoot this?

you need to go to portals in DNN host menu and add the external address (computer name) as additional portal alias for your site.

I have tried adding portals - but I still cannot connect.

I have 4 portals :

- localhost
- 192.168.1.110          (internal network IP)
- xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx             (External IP address from Router)
- Computer Name

I have tried pinging all these from my networked PC and this works (no errors)

computername and Network IP should work *if* DNN is installed in default web site, otherwise you need to provide a domain name in your name server pointing to the machine.

I am at work now, and I am able to reach the website through the External IP.  I will try again when I get home on my local network.  Thanks for helping me!
