Sebastian,

Hint taken. :) I'll give IE9 a go.

Javascript is turned on. I was using the Telerik editor that came with v5.6.0. I have tried the RadEditor--I saw you mention it in another post--and I love the interface. The problem that I have with both Telerik and the RadEditor, which I have mentioned to you in another post as well, is that the Image Manager on them does not work for me; it does not allow me to see my folder structure so I cannot select images.

But back to the topic at hand; even though I can now see my HTML editor, I cannot use it because it acts as if it is disabled. I also had a problem with the 5.6.0 version throwing an error with .aspx pages (see the post: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/200/threadid/396504/scope/posts/threadpage/1/Default.aspx) which seems to be a bug with this version. Given these issues, I have degraded my site back to v5.5.1 for now. I'll wait for a more stable DNN upgrade release.

Thanks for your assistance!

Kurt, dnnWerk RadEditor comes with a module, which allows you switching to FCKEditor as well, just to check whether it is a problem with Telerik or Javascript in your installation. There are a few showstoppers with DNN 5.6.0, let's hope the best for 5.6.1 :)

Sebastian,

I am actually using the RadEditor Config module. It is really a great tool! When I changed back to the FCKEditor I had no problems with adding images. I hope I can eventually figure out what the problem is with theTelerik and RadEditor Image Manager so I can use them; I like their interfaces so much more than FCKs. Bring on 5.6.1!

All the best to you!
Kurt

AFAIK there are known issues with RadEditor and child portals (affecting both editor providers atm).
