On a fresh install of DNN 5.6.0 CE, during the installation process the Minimal Extropy skin files were setup as Portal Alias's.  Yep.  Crazy.  But the list of Portal Alias for the portal 0 with no edits to the web and no errors in the event viewer shows this huge list, I assume it's a bug:

this is for sure a bug, if installing DNN on a custom port. Did you specify the port in web.config?

No. This was a full auto-install on a localhost. I forgot that I did uncomment the "use port number" in the web.config prior to running it. I ran it through VWD Express. The "use port number" was the only thing I changed, didn't specify the actual number. I went into admin site settings to take a look and see if anything had changed and was surprised by the huge list of portal alias's. I haven't had a chance to try a second install yet to see if it repeats again.

This is repeatable. I did the following to install:

created a directory and copied install package to it. opened web.config and uncommented the "usePortNumber". saved. opened VWD Express 2005 (meaning to upgrade soon) and opened the website. opened default.aspx and clicked cntl-f5 to build. chose auto for installation.

This time it did have two errors: Telerik package 5.06.00 and FCKHTMLEditor file 2.00.04 both gave "error" and I assumed did not install properly.

clicked the go to website link at end of install, logged in, went to Host-Portals and saw the same list of Minimal Extropy files with the default page images mixed in as portal alias's. The event viewer did not show any errors. The RadEditor worked fine when I tried to edit content on the default page, which surprised me after the Telerik error message during install.

I don't have a live production site available to install a fresh version live on the web, so I don't know if it happens in that scenario or not.

An uprade from 5.5.1 to 5.6 also caused the extra portal alias issue. This time, the default skin that was set in Admin->Site Settings->Appearance was a custom skin and that skin's files were added as portal alias's instead of Minimal Extropy files.
