btw: make sure, you excluded the web site directory from virus scan, especially AVG is known to affect performance significantly.

As for the antivirus, there is none installed on pc running IIS, neither on the pc running the SQL server.

I'm having the same issue here. My hosting is thru Godaddy and everything was fine until I upgraded to 5.06.01 (238). At first, navigating from one page to the next is fine. It's when I click the login button that it comes to a crawl. There is hardly any content on the four portals being hosted and the same thing happened to EACH of the three accounts for my clients websites I upgraded which are all located on their own hosting plan with Godaddy. I'm reluctant to continue upgrading my other clients sites...
