I've tried everything I can find and still cannot figure out why this is so slow. I mentioned it to a friend that uses the site and he didn't notice any performance issues at all. This got me thinking, so I created a new account and didn't give admin rights to it. Sure enough, its as fast as ever when not logged in as an admin. As soon as I gave admin rights to that account and logged back in as that user, BAM! Slow as snot. So it seems that any account with the admin role or superuser account (basically anything that loads the control panel) has issues.

Still open to any comments if anyone has any....

Thanks,
~Mike

An Admin has access to roles. Do you have a lot of roles? I bet if you profiled the database while logged in as an admin you could find a stored procedure that was taking a long time to run or loading a lot of records. I bet it would be related to roles somehow.

All this is guessing with no evidence to back up anything I said :)
