I moved my local development site to my laptop.  I have the DNN database properly connected to my SQL Server and the website comes up in IE when I enter http://localhost/mysite .   However, the skin is not coming up.  All the content is there, the text is showing, but no skin formatting.

I verified the PortaAlias record in the PortalAlias table as being correct. ( I did NOT change any names.)  The application name, the sql server database, and the website folder all have the same name as my other local installation.

Why would the skins not work?  I can't get to any of the menus to properly login and navigate around site settings?

What is not set correctly?

Thank you.

Elgin

Did you reload the page (Shift-F5?)
Does the skin contain any client side code, which might interfere?
Which Menu component are you using in your skin?

Sebastian

I have reloaded the page.  Shift-F5 does nothing, but F5 Refresh does refresh the page, but still no skin.  Is Shift-F5 something special?

I am using a purchased skin.  I did not design it.  It's just a basic skin with a Flash movie on top.  But it's not only the Flash that's not working.  All buttons and bars are not working.

What do you mean by "Which menu component am I using in my skin?"  Again, I didn't design it.  How do I look for that?

I had no issues with any of these items when I copied the site from the live server down to my main development machine.

Thank you.

As a test, I tried to install a skin into the localhost installation using the Auto Install option now available in DNN 5.   I got the errors listed below:

Its like NO SKIN is working.  Not even the default MinimalExtropy skin is coming up.  It's like it can't find the skins.  Is there something wrong in the DNN Database?
