App V1 is using database D1 and able to login using host credentials successfully.

APP V2 is using database D1, but not able to login using the same  host credentials.Can i pls know where are the host credentials stored. I assumed they are stored in database but shockingly inspite of connecting to the correct database not able to login successfully.

DotNetNuke encrypts users passwords by default and uses the web.config machinekey values to do so - if you have 2 seperate web applications (i.e. 2 dotnetnuke installs) but want to use the same database they will need to share the same machinekey values.
