Thanks for the reply David.

We may have to undertake similar measures, but since this installation is a development environment that is duplicated across multiple machines, I'm hesitant to fixi it that way on one developer's machine only. His environment will then not match the other developers' and if we check in and merge his changes, the other devs environment will change from a known good (on all but the one machine) configuration.

However our production site is running 6.2.6 (development is 6.2.2--just because we didn't see a need to upgrade the dev environment). So, if we need to go that route, I guess it's an excuse to bring the dev environment up to match production.

I should mention for anyone else who may have input, we have double checked the affected environment to make sure website permissions, app pool settings, etc. are consistent with the working environments on other machines.
