I have a new localhost installation of DNN 7.01.02 that does not display correctly.   (but I can't seem to upload the image that shows what the display looks like!)

The site comes up but the graphic interface is missing and it looks like bare-bones html is rendered.

I am using SQL 2008 RC Express with a custom db, IIS 7.5 on a Windows 7 OS.

I am able to log into the site and things seem to 'work', but the display is primitive!

On the original page that comes up, the content appears to be there, although there is an error in the middle of the page (see below).

Any idea why the display/formatting/rendering would be missing while the functionality of the portal seems to work?

Thanks,
Jill

Actually, the site does not 'work' correctly. For example, it is not possible to bring up module editing functions and it seems as if 'update' doesn't occur when making changes.

Any ideas?
Thanks.
Jill.

More information......

I created another portal using the same conditions with DNN 7.01.01 and things worked perfectly.   So, I guess there is an issue with something in DNN 7.01.02.       Isn't it just the way it goes....fix one thing and something else gets broken.

Did you install the source package or is it a copy of an existing site ?  Check SQL permissions, and of course physical permissions and IIS Settings.

I used the install package.....DotNetNuke_Community_07.01.02_Install.zip

I unzipped to a folder, then copied the unzipped files to another location as  c:/inetpub/wwwroot/dnn712.   That folder  had full permissions for NETWORK SERVICES user.  The folder was made an application in IIS.   .Net version was 4.0.

I never did get it working/displaying correctly, so I just went back to 7.1.1 for now which seems to work correctly under the same conditions of installation.

Thanks for responding.

Jill
