hi all,

in the installation help file, there's only doc on how to install dotnetnuke with sql server 2000, i need some help with SQL server 2005 please. Thank you very much.

MR2, you got to make sure you are using the correct connection strings in the web.config but 2K and 2K5 uses the same conn strings.  Were you referring to 2K5 SQL Express?  You just comment out those and uncomment the 2k5 express ones.

im referring to SQL server 2005. in the installation document, it explains how to create database in SQL server 2000. however, the sQL server 2005 is bit diff, i'm just a bit lost with the installation of the cd and configuration of the program. also how to create a database. cheers

Lets start with serveral things first:

What version of DNN are you using? 3.xx, 4.xx ..?

Are you developing on a local machine or remote server?

Do you have .NET Framework 1.xx or 2.xx ..?

Are you using Visual Web Developer Express, VS 2K5?

 

Let me know your progress so far so I can direct you from here.

Im using DNN 4.3.5, this is for development local machine. i have .NET Framework SDK 2.0 and Im using VS 2k5
