Any idea why I can't login to a newly created DNN (4.3.5) site? I created the project from the VSI template that I installed. I set up my SQL Server 2000 db for the project and set the web.config to take advantage of it. I then compiled and ran and the site came up without a problem. When I go to log into the site, however, the default username and password simply don't work. Any idea what I've done wrong?

Thanks.

I'm having the same issue, but I didn't install it from VS. It seems the given usernames/passwords simply don't work and now I'm not even able to log in to my own portal.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you.

It would probably help if we know WHAT happened when you log in - for example, do you get an "invalid user" error?  We aren't sitting in front of your computer so we can't see what haoppens.

Typically what happens when your login/password doesn't work is that you get a invalid login error. I have no clue what else may happen? Should I expect something else?

I've gone as far as looking into several tables in the DB to look for the password but nothing seems to work in the password columns I've looked at.

I'd appreciate any insight into this...otherwise I may have to delete the database, delete the directory and start over. We all know that's not fun.

Thanks in advance.

Are you using host as the username and dnnhost as the password? In older editions of DNN it was host/host, now DNN requires at least a 7 character password so the had to change the host password to dnnhost.

Hope this helps.
