Hello: I need to protect part of the portal however I don't want to enable public registration. I am creating new users individually in DNN 3.2

#1. How do I disable user registration emails?
#2. If #1 is not possible, how do I customize those email for content?

a typical email looks like

We are pleased to advise that you have been added as a Registered User to the <PORTAL NAME> portal website. Please read the following information carefully and be sure to save this message in a safe location for future reference.

Portal Website Address: <PORTAL WEBSITE>
Username: <USERNAME>

Hi, don't know if you can stop them, but you can certainly change them. Have a look at this thread - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/108/threadid/18112/scope/posts/Default.aspx.

Personally I find they are a good way of validating if someones email address is correct. If you don't get a bounce, and someone logs on based on the info they receive, you know it is correct.

Hi, Can anyone tell me how to disable new user registration emails in DNN 5.3.1 ? i have many emails daily in my inbox!

I really need some way to disable new account email notifications!

I am setting up a dnn portal that is completely private and bulk loading users to create user accounts. These users do not have email addresses that are unique to them.

After reading posts and searching the internet, it seems there is no easy way to do this, it appears I can either screw around with SMTP settings to make email notifications fail portal wide or leave the email value blank for these users?

If I leave the email value blank, what will happen? I know that as admin I will still get all the notifications.
