I have set up DNN 4.9.4 to use Port 8080, and after a lot of reading, have it working.  The only minor problem I have is that when I process the login button, the url drops the port number.  I set up another page up as the login, and thought that that had gotten around it

Only the Login and Register buttons appear to do this.  I have "Friendly URLs" turned off and all other pages work as you would expect.

How can I force the Login buttons to work with port numbers?

Did you check under Admin->site setting->portal alias.  Port 8080 has to be in your alias setting for this to work.

By the way, since you are using 8080, my guess is you are a developer, not one of those "localhost guys"?

There's a port setting in web, config that may help.....

Done all that!

The port number is in the alias, and the web.config change has been made to tell DNN to use ports other than 80.

As mentioned in my first post, all pages work correctly when the websites menu is used.  I can even access the Admin and Host menu items without any issues.

It is only if I press login or register links that the port number is stripped.  If I manually put the port number back in the url, I can fill in the username and password. However, when I press Login again to get access to the website, the port number is also stripped once more.  Other than that, the website functions the way you would expect it to.

My thoughts are that the resigster/login module is bypassing the DNN portal settings.  Is there anything I can do to get around this?

Anyone got any further suggestions on this?

Are there any settings I can set for the account login module that will allow it to maintain the port number?
