Unfortunatly I noticed that when I save absolute links in the html module which contains domain of my portal alias the absolute url is replaced by relativ urls.

e.g. I have a portal alias rechnungsprogramm.woax-it.at When I want to set a absolute link in the html module href="rechnungsprogramm.woax-it.at/xxxx.aspx ...

the link is after the saving /xxxx.aspx in the html module.

This issue is not caused by the html editors I tried 3 today and all behave same.

The url is replaced somewhere else.

How can this be turned off?

regards

what version of dotnetnuke are you running? Recent versions contain a telerik based editor and it supports changing to absolute path -http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Telerik-Customization.aspx

currently 5.6.2

I think its not the editor. I tryed 3 of them yesterday. Even with Telerik the option "useRelativURls" has no effect.

Even if I save the link in the plain textbox the domain (portal Alias) in the link is replaced .

hmm, i have a vague memory of code being added to strip absolute urls way back but i thought that was in the fck provider-perhaps it was in the html module, in which case it should respect the telerik setting -please log this as an issue at support.dotnetnuke.com so we can fix it in a future version

the html module in dnn600 still has hard coded url path removal built into it internally into the editHTML module - it loads the alias list for the site  and strips out any absolute domains that are in that list.

So as such its not actually possible to turn off the absolute to relative function by changing settings in the telerik provider - though this does seem like it would be a better place to do it -  OR an option should possibly be added to the HTMLEditor Settings to allow admins to disable the action in the htmlEditor.
