Hi everyone,

Please tell me how to publish the website in DNN.

I have created the website in DNN and now I want to host it on server.

I attempted some time and put the published site on server but when i go to the url: http://www.kisancard.com it shows me the UnderConstruction page.

Please guide me for this, I am in a urgency.

Ususally the appearance of the "Under Construction" page is an indication that DotNetNuke cannot connect to its MS SQL Server datbase. Here are some things to check:

1. In addition to moving your site files from development to production server, did you backup the site's database on the local installation and restore it to a new database created on the production server?

2. Did you modify the two connection strings in web.config to point to the restored database on the production server and make any necessary changes as to database SQL login credentials (user name and password)?

3. Before creating the database backup on the development server, did you add a new portal alias for the site's new URL?

Although it is a bit dated as to ASP.Net and MS SQL Server version requirements, the following blog post from Mitchell Sellers is still the most complete guide I've found to migrating a DNN website:

Hi,

If you use webmatrix, I assume that you use SQL Express. So you have to use Microsoft SQL server management studio express.

First, you have to attach the database and take a backup. Then, you have to go to your product database server and restore it.
