Ok, I've seen enough duplicate reports of this behaviour now that I've gone ahead and reported this in Gemini. That's my week come to a grinding halt...

Check to make sure that the module does not have a Cache Time set under settings.  If it does, set it to 0 and see if you still have the same behaviour.

For some reason modules are now defaulted to have a cache time when they are added to a page.

Hi
Not sure if it helps but I had this edit rights problem in a 4.32 upgrade from 4.02.
The problem occured right after I had deleted the subscriber role which I do not need.

When I reinstated a subscriber role the problem was fixed ?

Hi John, thanks for the reply.

Yes it does appear that new modules added to a page have a cache time set. The Links one gets 60s and the Text/HTM gets 1200s.  Setting them to zero corrects the problem. That's a relief. It still will need fixing, but at least work can continue :)

I'll add that to the issue I posted on Gemini... though obviously if you're aware of it then it must be known to the core team.

Thanks for the post.

Setting the cache to 0 also fixed the problem with my text/html modules, but I'm still having issues with the User Defined Table module. In the other thread I started about this same issue, I wrote that editing was working with UDT, but I was wrong. With full editing permissions, the user can edit the existing content, but the Add Row functionality is missing, even though I have that permission checked.
