Hi everyone,

I am trying to find a small example on how to make a module that uses token replacement. I have seen modules that let you create a template in the settings controle, which then is used in the view controle of the module. Does anybody know of a small example on how to do this?

kind regards,

Orlando

Check out the core Announcements module, it uses tokenreplace to handle the templating

Stefan Cullman did a useful blog on it if I remember - there were a couple of good forum posts too if you can find them.

I looked at : www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/1547/4-6-0-A-Sneak-Peek-5-Token-Replace.aspx

I would have liked having a working example with a bit more text. Is there DNN documentatian about it?

unfortunately, documentation of TokenReplace is still on my to-do list.

Check out current Text/HTML module, how to provide TR support within your modules.

If you want to use TokenReplace for Skinning, Announcement is a good example, I also created a templated version of Text/HTML (if you are interested, please drop me an email at sebastian.leupold (at) dotnetnuke.com).
