Hello Costas,

There are quite a bit of differences between us (PowerDNN) and other hosting providers. Like one of the repliers in this thread mentioned, "You get what you pay for". That seems to be the case when it comes to hosting providers. We do offer a 15 day free trial at PowerDNN for all of our new customers and we will also provide quite a bit of assistance throughout the migration process.

One thing to remember is our focus as a hosting provider it solely with the DotNetNuke platform. We do try and host anything else, so if you need a support staff that is not only knowledgeable of your hosting environment, but also of the DotNetNuke framework there really is no other place to go.

Feel free to give us a call, the Sales team is available Mon-Fri 8AM (CST) - 12AM (CST).

One last thing though that is very important to remember. When searching for a hosting provider make sure that they are not installing you as a portal, this will make a transition nearly impossible.

Thanks Johnny for the information.

I already know PowerDNN.

I already use a DNN oriented shared hosting provider and it is not cheap by any means.

But i have a lot of problems for a very low traffic DNN website. Pages take sometimes 90 seconds to render, i have a lot of App Restarts during the day, and things like that.

It is very hard to find a good hosting company today. Impossible i would say. They are all the same.

And i'm not new to the field, relatively new to DNN maybe.

Hi Costas-

I've tried "non-DNN" type hosting companies in the past and have always found them to be more of a pain than they are worth.

Right now there are only three I would consider - PowerDNN, DNN4Less, and 3esstentials. PowerDNN is absolutely hassle free, has fast servers, can scale as high as you need, and has good support. I have one site with DNN4Less and site performance has been very good - good speed (maybe even better than PowerDNN at some points), and their support has been good enough. I have had some issues with their lack of communication though. I've not used 3esstentials but know enough other community members who like them that I would consider trying them.

Hope this helps.

Hi Greg,

I'm already using for a year 3essentials since a lot of people suggested them here. I'm not very happy with them, especially the last 1-2 months.

Hello Costas

We also do DNN hosting.  We have DNN on a one click install.  You do have host access and your able to make child sites but you can not make unlimited parent portals due to people like to cut out the real host.

We do have a 30day money back. if you want to test us out please let me know and i can set you up a 15 day test.  http://shop.smallinternetsolutions.com

Thanks

Mark
