Hello, since the installation of DNN I'm facing a huge problem.

My site is in russian, so all the page's names contain cyrillic characters. It is done like this, because of the breadcrumbs. They are using the page's names to display your current position on the site.

If I will name my pages with latin chars, it will be not nice at all. So far, the only solution available is Ifinity Url Master, which is expensive to pay for and nobody knows how long it will be supported, updated and maintained. There was one free module from some bolivian guy called Locopon. But the module is no more working with DNN 5.x and the developer's site is dead.

Is there something that DNN team plans to create, because it seems to be easy, in PHP per example, that kind of problem is inexisting, it was solved 10 years ago.

Any hope? News? Updates?

You could always switch to Joomla.  :)

iFinity's is the only module left that I know of, though limited rewriting is available in the core.

Ok.

Now I understand, why there are so few people using DNN.

Paying a developer $99 for this functionality isn't too much to ask for (unless you expect all your requirements to be absolutely free). You never know it might help feed his kids. Terms and duration of support is just like any other software I'm sure.

Alternatively if you've identified a need, why don't you write one yourself and make it open source?

Or log an enhancement request in support.dotnetnuke.com, and maybe one day this will be considered if put politely.
