Has anyone else seen the "Open Source CMS Market Share Report 2009" posted on CMS Wire? http://www.cmswire.com/downloads/cms-market-share/

On pg 68 there is this statement.

"Yet, despite all the above, we feel the system faces a significant challenge due to two factors:
• Negative brand sentiment, and
• Evidence of declining interest over time.
In terms of brand sentiment, DotNetNuke placed dead last in our survey, with well over 50% of the respondents labeling their feelings toward the system as negative. Not only was DotNetNuke one of only two systems to receive more negative than positive responses, it received a significantly higher number of negative responses."

Does this match the experiences of this community? Or, is there another factor not being considered?

Thanks for the link - an interesting read.

Although there weren't too many surprises in it. The biggest surprise for me was that WordPress hasn't declined as much as I would expect. But I would imagine the large base of blogging only users of that framework keep it propped up.

please be aware that during the survey, DNN PE was introduced, which initially rose some irritations in the communities about the future of the free product. I assume, this significantly influenced the specific result.

I think their assesment is pretty accurate.  Even DNN corp realizes that they are falling behind (at least in perception) There was a video from openforce where NAvin talks about this a little.

Does anyone know what the "negatives" are?  That sounds like a great report but if it's doesn't include what the problems are then it's useless.  (I was unable to get a copy.)
