I am going to try the upgrade once more. What do I do if I still get the compiler error then it is likely because my web.config did not get auto-upgraded to .Net 3.5 during the upgrade to 5.5? What fixes must I make? Here are the errors i got the first time: 00:00:39.343 - Performing General Upgrades 00:00:39.546 - Installing Optional Modules: 00:00:39.546 - Installing Package File HTML_Community_05.04.03_Install: Success 00:00:40.078 - Installing Package File Messaging_01.01.00_Install: Success 00:00:40.468 - Installing Package File Taxonomy_01.01.00_Install: Success 00:00:40.875 - Installing Package File Telerik_05.05.00_Install: Error! 00:00:46.468 - Installing Optional Skins: 00:00:46.468 - Installing Optional Containers: 00:00:46.468 - Installing Optional Languages: 00:00:46.468 - Installing Optional Providers: 00:00:46.468 - Installing Package File FileModuleCachingProvider_05.04.03_Install: Error! 00:00:46.671 - Installing Package File MemoryModuleCachingProvider_05.02.01_Install: Error! 00:00:47.078 - Installing Optional AuthSystems: 00:00:47.078 - Installing Optional Packages:

Let's step back for a second.

Is .Net 3.5 with SP1 installed on the server?  That is still unclear to me from your previous responses.  If it is not, then you must do that first.

It looks like I was able to get up and running by replacing the codedom v2 with the v3.5

AND

I deleted the download.vb file from the App_Code >> XML >> Handlers folder

Question is now what do I need to do?

Yes v3.5 SP1 has been installed.

The application is working but I am uncertain if I am missing anything.

        <providerOption name="CompilerVersion" value="v3.5" />
        <providerOption name="OptionInfer" value="true" />
        <providerOption name="WarnAsError" value="false" />
      </compiler>
      <compiler language="c#;cs;csharp" extension=".cs" type="Microsoft.CSharp.CSharpCodeProvider,System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" warningLevel="4">
