I am trying to upgrade a 7.4 site to 9.1 I've copied the install files and web.config has autoupgrade=true. However, when I navigate to the site, the upgrade doesn't trigger. I've also navigated here and nothing happens:

What am I missing?

Do you have any errors listed in the Event Viewer and/or in the Log4Net log files? You'll find the log files listed in the following directory:

~/Portals/_default/logs/

Outside of that, this is highly unusual. Are you able to verify that the files are actually overridden from the upgrade, and is the site actually wired to the directory where you placed the upgrade files?

I was able to upgrade by going through this path: 7.4 -> 8.0.3 -> 9.1

I was unable to upgrade this path: 7.4 -> 9.1.1

I'm surprised.

I upgraded a site 7.4.somthing to 9.1.1 yesterday. I had no trouble with it.

I'm surprised. I went from 7->9 and 7->8->9 both failed to function with respect to the admin functions (ie. persona bar not showing and odd 404 errors on virtual calls related to admin functions like trying to access the fuile manager or add a module.

Eventually I had to recreate from scratch on v9. Not fun and there was virtually no help on this forum throughout the process. I wish there was a better DNN community.
