Yes, anyone who bores themselves reading my posts knows too well that my biggest gripe about DNN is the total lack of comms appreciation let alone actual expertise in the core team. The project is 99% framework and 1% purpose.
As for the Feedback module here.. I gave up after some more experimenting. The operaton is just too ridiculous that even if worked I couldn't possibly pass it on to anyone to use. I've been trying to stick with core modules as much as possible now that I run DNN multi-portal, so I decided to drop Slalom Enhanced Feedback, which as always been a good replacement, and return to the core for this function. It can't be done.
So, because I still needed a simple replacement feedback module, I went off to snowcovered and looked around and bought one for ten bucks called Complete Feedback Designer. It does the task fine and lets one add as many form fields as one likes, but turns out to have a few too many layout items hard coded for my purposes. It would not fit in the first space I needed it for. So now I've got 4 small feature requests in with the developer...and have decided to put Slalom Feedback back on my approved list after all. That was another frustrating 6 DNN hours all up :(
That said.. the core module here seems to have some new bits in it that imply some other purpose.. categories, comments, paging. Is this module going off on a tangent? Core comments and ratings would definitely improve the framework.. is that what is happening here?
