Will,

Just a quick followup.  The previous setup I did put the newsfeed module on the same page as the Announcement module.  Now, the curious thing - I created one on a different page within the same site, and lo and behold - I see the download error.  So, I can confirm this is an issue.  Have you checked the Issue Tracker for any reports of this behaviour?  I don't have time today to do so, but if you can check and don't see it, log it in as a proper issue.

Although, I can't find the reference, I think this was reported in another post.

Cheers

I also have the setup with having the feed on a different page.  I have not checked Gemini yet, and was also not able to find any similar forum threads even though I am sure I am not the only person to find this problem.

I do also have problems with RSS feeds from the Announcement Module v. 4.00.01, and I have the News Feeds module v.4.00.01 on a DNN 4.09.01 installation.

http://www2.smtf.se is where the news module is located and the announcement module is on http://www2.smtf.se/Nyheter.aspx

Hi
I have the same problem. On my web site it's not working with the announcemets module and news feed module on the same page, and on different pages as well. I have checked the RSS fedd on W3C validator, and it says that is not valid 2.0 RSS feed, and since the news feed form DNN needs RSS 2.0 this would be the problem. This is what I have read form other forums. I ahve two setups, one on a localhost (testing server) and one on the production server. On the localhost is working with no problems but on the production server is not.
The localhost setup is a Win XP SP 2 with DNN 05.04.00 (107), MS SQL Server 2008 R2 Express, .NET 3.5, and the production server setup is Win 2008 R2, MS SQL Server 2008 R2, .NET 3.5.
