I think I've solved the mystery guys.

Do your modules have the application path in their directory name? (for instance, you've installed dnn to www.myhost.com/site/ and have a module called SiteGallery in /desktopmodules/SiteGallery/)

TryGetResourceFile inside Localization.vb does the following check:


              If ApplicationPath.ToLowerInvariant <> "/portals" Then
                    cacheKey = cacheKey.Replace(ApplicationPath.ToLowerInvariant(), "")

This is obviously wrong, it should only replace the application path at the beginning of the string!
