Hi,

On DDN 4.09 version, I have 2 language packs - English(US), Bulgarian. On Bulgarian pack on Events Module (Months, Weeks & List View), the date format is changing from mm/dd/yyyy to dd.mm.yyyy and throws very unpleasant error. How can I change ONLY the date format for Bulgarian language pack? I wish Bulgarian language to be my default.

if you don't install the language pack (or remove the module specific resource files in module folder), default en-US will be used, but date, numbers, currencies etc formatted to Bulgarian culture.

Sorry, I've made a mistake on my post explaining the problem.

1. I installed Bulgarian language pack - Host > Languages -> Bulgarian -> Add

2. The default language pack is Bulgarian but i also left the English enabled, so i have 2 lagnuages.

When I go to Event module on English (US) language there's no any problem when i browse the module.

The problem is when I change the language to Bulgarian and browse the Event module. The problem comes from the date format, because in Bulgarian language the date format is dd.mm.yyyy. I want to change that format in Bulgarian language to any format which have no problem like mm/dd/yyyy.

date and number formats are controlled by site language settings, i.e. if you switch to bulgarian language, dates are displayed and accepted in dd.mm.yyyy format. This is by design and cannot be altered, because there is no option to decide whether 1/2/2009 means 2nd of January (en-US) or 1st of February (en-GB).

Hi,

I understand the meaning of your reply but this means that the problem still remains. Here is the error which is on the address bar of the IE:

http://digitborn.co.cc/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx?tabid=58&error=Conversion+from+string+%2207.9.2009+%c3%90%c2%b3.%22+to+type+'Date'+is+not+valid.&content=0

This happens when i browse in Events module and i'm on Bulgarian language pack. The date - 07.9.2009 is 7th of September 2009. When this error appears the Event modules disappear (not visible) from the browser. I should close the IE and reopen the page to eliminate the problem. On English (US) language pack there's no any problem with the same Events module.

I thought that my suggestion would be good to go around the problem (not to solve it like fixing the error) but as it seems it's not possible. Please let me know what can i do to work with Events module and not get an error. You can suggest more than 1 option/guess to try, just don't know what to do?

p.s. You can enter the website link and test it if you think you can get some more info
