Hi all, I am new to DNN so please forgive me if this there is a simple answer to this question.

I have AD authentication set up and appears to be working fine. I have a security role called Domain Admins, that matches the Domain Admins group in Active Directory. Upon first access to the DNN site I was made a member of this Domain Admin role since I am a Domain Admin in AD which is what I expect.

However; I would like all domain admins to automatically have administrator rights to DNN, is there a way to make one role (my DNN Domain Admins role ) a member of the DNN administrator role...so that all active directory Domain Admins automatically have full admin rights to DNN.

Hi Neil

There's no nesting of roles in DNN unlike Active Directory so that's out. Portal admins have to be explicitly assigned to the Administrator role and that role is ignored in the AD Provider code.
