Hi, I am using the Gallery module in conjunction with the Forum Module. I cannot get Avatar's to upload in the forum, but have discovered that the problem is really with the Gallery module. If I try to upload an image, it goes through all the steps, but then the image does not end up in the gallery. I really need help, my site is ready to launch except for this issue. Thanks!

I too am seeing the same problem with the forum module and user avatars. I assumed that this was the reason that I couldn't find a DNN site with a forum that used user avatars.  I assumed that it didn't work and left it as a low priority and moved on.

I just ran into this problem too, but with the Gallery module by itself, no Forum Module involved.  I think I narrowed the problem down to the DPI definition of the JPG files I was trying to upload.  My friend who gave me the pictures was trying to be nice and resized the pictures for me (they were huge initially), in the process he set the DPI to 72.  After many attempts to upload the images either via the upload interface or doing a bulk copy to the Sources directory, they are never put in the album and the thumbnail is not created.  After I manipulated the images to change the DPI to 96 they uploaded just fine.  By the way, this also happens with the revised module from Jegers.com.

Is the DNN Gallery Module ever going to come out of Beta???
