I have also been frustrated by the lack of feature lists for new DNN versions. While I can appreciate the improvement in Gemni and the hard work that went into it, my opinion, based only I what I know from reading the forums, is that the documentation issue is just another symtom of the real issue. I think the issue causing some of these symptoms is what appears to be a very tight knit/closely guarded open source project. Other symptoms would be the moderation of the forums, the remember me issue, and the limit on bloggers in the DNN blogs. I think that if DNN opened things up just a little more everyone would benefit. I think I can prove that point:

Anyone seen one of Brain's famous posts in awhile??  I haven't.  In fact I haven't seen one since the core decided to open up the beta testing to a small group of users...... I did notice that Brain became a benefactor though......

My point with regards to the feature lists - create a documentation project and let numerous volunteers write documentation for small sections of the core/projects. Maybe in the old days the documentation was used to generate revenue by selling the books (I bought one) but I think DNN is beyond that now.

While I'm at it, last but not least - could someone please PLEASE PLEASE get rid of the stupid coffee cup and replace it with a t-shirt in the items you get for becoming a benefactor????  Brian had his reasons - I'm holding out for the t-shirt!!!!!    In fact, I want to support DNN badly enough that I'll take the coffee cup (I can give it to somebody's Grandma) AND buy a t-shirt if you will just make one available. Whoever did the DNN logo did a great job - would be a cool t-shirt!

:)     I agree..   t-shirt over the coffee cup....   mine is still in the box...   I don't drink coffee, it is bad for you!     I'm thankful that Alex has taken over Gemini and the CT has made a great effort to clean up the bugs with each release.   That is the only way to get stability when doing new releases or you get too far in over your head.
