Hi,

I had the same issue when creating a new portal using a language other than English. When the English language is set as default portal the issue was resolved. I believe that the cause is the exchange of role name "Administrators" by any other. Please verify that the language of your portal is English.

I have the exact same problem, I upraded my DNN portal sites from 5.3.1 to 5.4.1, and all sites were okay, but today I've created a new parent portal and the exact same issue has occured. scarily non authenticated users can go to the site and access edit and admin functions without logging in.

This issue is critical, is there any fixes yet? We are using DNN professional.

Thanks for all the useful comments, however I would advise caution when changing the role ID's as the values 0 and 1 are only useful for your first portal. You should check your roles table for the roleID's that match the portal you have the problems with.

I found that changing these ID's didn't fix the problem but I also found that the problem of the AdministratorRoleId and RegisteredRoleId values beign set incorrectly in the portals table, was caused by the language settings of my Main portal (e.g. portal ID =0).

If you change the language settings of this portal and disable "English (United States) " the problem occurs when you try to create a new portal.

I had my language set to" English (United Kingdom)" and had "English (United States)" set to disabled, after I deleted the new portal and set the "English (United States)" in my main portal (portal ID=0) and then created a new portal, it was all fine.

Looks like another bug to fix in 5.4.3

Same issue on 5.5.0 upgrade, details published here. System language was set to en-US, superuser language en-US, I changed site language to en-US and nothing changes. Original site settings are OK but every new portal (parent or sub) created after upgrade have mixed-up security settings!
