I couldn't get 4.3 to install. But 4.0 installed just fine. The error, after digging through logs, had to do with the scripts to install the database. They never ran, and instead the install went right into trying to everything else. Used the older version, and everything ran smoothly. The help doc says to delete dnn.config. There is no such file in the Install.zip. Just an FYI.

I am in the same boat.  Downloaded 4.3.5 install package but have no clue on how to go about installing it.  Did you find a way?  Mind sharing !

I read this http://www.bookpool.com/sm/0471788163 and the help files here carefully and was finally able to install it to my development environment.

Ok I installed the source version of 4.3.5 but now I am wondering if I should have installed the Starter Kit version since I need to create some custom modules. I am using Visual Studio 2005, I read the instructions in the Professional DotNetNet 4 Wrox Book on creating Modules with version 3.X but the book stated that the folder structure is different with these two versions, I am not sure what this means to creating custom modules.

I am just looking for someone to point me in the right direction on creating custom modules with 4.x

Also would it be easier to just install the StarterKit instead of using the Source version?

I want the StarterKit for the templates in Visual Studio, I am also wondering if I can use both?

Thank You!
