There are 23 product demo web seminars listed at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Web-Seminars.aspx
7 of these are titled "Introduction to DotNetNuke Professional Edition". Are these the same (the descriptions are) or is it worthwhile to watch them all? The upcoming presentation also is an "Introduction to DotNetNuke Professional Edition" and the 2 most recent "Introduction to DotNetNuke Professional Edition" seminars are given after the unveiling of DNN7. Do these describe DNN7?
I expect most, if not all, seminars except "Attend the Unveiling of DNN 7.0" to cover DNN6 or earlier. Which of these are still relevant for DNN7?
As I'm new to DNN, I'm starting with DNN7. I've read the installation has been greatly simplified, but the Installation Webinar Recording I Found on the site (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Training/Installing-DotNetNuke.aspx) starts with comments on how difficult the installation is, so I expect this covers DNN6. How relevant is this for someone starting with DNN7? Should I view it, or would I be wasting an hour of my time?
This actually is a very broad problem. Most of the documents I've found speak of DNN, without ever mentioning which version they cover. A "DNN for dummies" book even has "explore the lastest version of DNN" on the cover but I doubt a book from 2007 covers DNN7.
How significant are the changes from DNN6 to DNN7? Are documents on DNN6 still very relevant? or should a DNN beginner better avoid them?
I'm a software engineer and will definitly be looking into module development. I don't expect the documentation on this subject to be with the first to be updated. Has module development changed much in DNN7 compared to DNN6?
What documents/web seminars would you recommend to someone starting with DNN today?
