I am new to DNN and I'm creating a demo for a project, I recommended DNN while me and my team were searching for a CMS to serve our client's requirements.

during the demo I came across this issue, when you add another language to the site and navigate to Admin ==> Languages ==> Settings, there is the option "Allow users to choose interface language?", I checked this option to enable the users to see the flags above and change the language but it doesn't seem to work.

I came across this issue on JIRA here where they say it is fixed in version 7.4.2, I already upgraded to this version, the check on the checkbox now persists but the anonymous user still don't see the flags to change the language.

any ideas ???

I forgot to tell you that what I am trying to achieve is to allow anonymous users to change the language, not the users with edit permission.

Most of the site users will be anonymous, so the change language permission will be granted to anonymous users in the first place.

I need to know how to accomplish this in DNN 7.

I don't actually want the user to change the interface language only, the anonymous user should be able to change the interface+content language.

I can for example add a link to redirect them to the other language URL, but, as I see it for the admin/host user, when I switch the language using the flag links above, the interface and the content language will be switched, why isn't the same functionality implemented for the anonymous users?
