I downloaded DotNetNuke Community Edition.  I tried to install.  I set it up to use SQL Server 2008 SQL Server authenication.  The install ran and ran and ran.  The results page should repeated entries of "undefined success".  This ran like this for about a half hour before I canceled.  Ever since, all I get is a DotNetNuke Error page which states "Domain Name Windows XP Does Not Exist In The Database".

I did a search in the forums for problems on installing.  The page reported 204 returns.  However when I tried to go to next page of returns I all could get was a 404 error.

Edward;
I've answered the problem with the SQL scripts running forever and also the "Domain Name Windows XP Does Not exist in the Database" issue here:

In a nutshell you have a permissions issue.
Check my post in the thread above.

Huh. I did not think this entry had posted, as the add post page kept returning an error. It was not clear from the persons with the problem that you solved whether the pages just started working or whether they had to do another download. (Looks like one of each.) Whe I get home I will verify those permissions settings. I could have sworn I set up permissions for ASP.Net on wwwroot, when I brought a version 1.1 website to that machine, and that Network Service was set up like that when I installed 2.0. Huh. I will also go into database and ensure that these rights are set there. I wonder why this wasn't done when the databases were created?

I entered a reply using quick reply, but it did not show up after submit. I tried again and got the below.

A critical error has occurred.
Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_Forum_TrackedThreads'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.Forum_TrackedThreads'. The statement has been terminated.

This one is entered using standard reply.

Added ASPNwet and Network service users to root directory. read and execute ASPNet, modify Network service. Added Network service to dotnetnuke db as db_owner. Same error.
